Three Incredible Caribbean Beach Escapes

Caribbean Beach Escapes

The Caribbean is a playground for travelers who seek both relaxation and refinement, where every moment feels effortlessly curated. Imagine waking up in a private villa overlooking crystal-clear turquoise waters, the sun casting a golden glow across soft white sands. Days are spent exploring hidden coves, sailing on a private yacht, or lounging by infinity pools framed by swaying palms. Evenings are reserved for experiences that blend indulgence with local charm: gourmet dining featuring fresh, island-inspired cuisine, handcrafted cocktails at a beachfront bar, and serene spa treatments that let you unwind completely. In the Caribbean, luxury is not just about opulent spaces. It’s about creating moments that linger, capturing the essence of the islands while allowing you to immerse yourself fully in their beauty, culture, and tranquility.

Belmond Cap Juluca, Anguilla, British West Indies

Anguilla's grand dame is still the hottest spot on the island. Set on an idyllic stretch of beach, its white villas encircle Maunday's Bay, where just about every room has direct beach access. Much like the rest of Anguilla, Cap Juluca has no shortage of quality restaurants. The hotel's iconic pool is set at Uchu, a Peruvian fusion restaurant, while the classic Pimms and Venetian import Cip's anchor the hotel's culinary offerings. For the adventurer, the Cap Shack is on the far end of Maunday's Bay, offering a respite from the sun. Anguilla hasn't always been the easiest to get to, but daily flights from Miami and new twice-weekly flights to Boston and Newark complement existing ferry and air service to neighboring Sint Maarten.

Hotel Fouquet's, Saint Barthélemy, French West Indies

The former Hotel Carl Gustaf has been newly rechristened as Fouquet's by French hotel group Hotels Barrière, which took control of the reins in 2015. Saint Barthélemy (or Saint Barths, or Saint Bart's… as you wish) is one of the few islands boasting a strong beach club and dining scene outside of the resorts, and Fouquet's is the closest hotel to the action. Being a stone's throw away from the capital, Gustavia, places Fouquet's slightly further uphill from the beach than many of Saint Barths' top hotels, but the hotel's beach club, Shellona, is still one of the island's hottest restaurants. Fouquet's strikes the balance between Caribbean chic and modern French design, all while offering stunning views of the town below. From this distance, it would be hard to resist Gustavia, but Fouquet's is so inviting that you may never want to leave.

Silversands Grand Anse, Grenada

Though Grenada is less congested with tourists than other islands on this list, Silversands is a destination in its own right. The hotel's 100-meter-long pool, supposedly the longest in the Caribbean, outlines the hotel's 43 guest rooms and two restaurants. The rooms are airy and bright, decorated mostly in white with wooden accents, strategically lined up so most rooms peer over the Grenadian Grill toward the horizon. For larger groups, the property's three-bedroom hilltop villas and four-bedroom beachfront villas offer the ultimate experience. It strikes the balance between intimacy without feeling too deserted, and service never suffers. And if the hotel ever feels too quiet, the new Silversands Beach House is merely a 10-minute drive away.
